Kick sample from Pearl Session Elite-kit which, to my knowledge, is 6 veneer maple-mahogany shells. Front drum head used was Aquarian SuperKick Clear Double Ply. I can't remember what mic or preamp was used, but it sounds nice. Very definitive low end at around 70Hz and round sounding clear attack.

First snare (top) sample was recorded with Neumann U87 into an Avalon VT-737sp tube-preamp. Mic was positioned about 1 meters above the drum.

The second snare sample is a stereo ambience taken approximately 10 meters from the drum in a acoustically non-threated hallway with AKG C451B stereo pair going into Digidesign C24 controller preamps. I usually blend this in with other samples or a recorded snare to give a nice spacious sound to it without adding too much artificial reverb.
